Craft Foam to Make Card Embellishments: It's Like Magic!

thinking outside the square on this one (pardon the pun). I do use fun foam to back my cards occasionally if I need it to be sturdier for posting but never thought of using it this way. Way to go AGAIN Connie, teaching us to be more creative with our stamps and dies and utilizing cheap and easy to find products to enhance our cards. Love it.

Double Pop Up Box Christmas Card that I made yesterday.

 I saw a wonderful card by Lavonne Schwendeman form USA called a Double Pop Up Box Bridge Card which she found on you tube done by (Iced Images). It is not an easy card to make but as I am back in the craft room I enjoyed the challenge. Excuse my shaky photo of the back of the card but I don't seem to be able to control that when taking photo's with my phone. Anyway this is my take on the card. How to Turn Paper Pieces and Cardstock Scraps into a Lovely Card

Good Morning folks, ahh the dreaded paper cuts we have messing up our craft area, what do we do with them? Well I use a lot of mine for sentiments but still manage to have lots left over. My answer is often to give them to my Grandsons school but Connie has come up with a cool idea to use some of them up. Great tip I think so am sharing with you all. Enjoy this and your day. One Sheet Wonder and scenery classes held this week

 This morning I held a "one Sheet Wonder" class for a talented group of ladies. We created one sheet wonders and then cut some of them up to make cards. You get 6 cards from a "one sheet wonder Page" but you can also use them for scrapbooking pages as well, hence the photos hastily placed on the pages to show what can be achieved. And lastly the promised photo's of my Mother in Law's scenery matts from her morning class (one on one) on Tuesday.

Scenery stamping with my Mother in Law.

 spent a wonderful morning stamping with my Mother in Law Gloria Millican. I was teaching her how to use her stamparatus and sponge rollers to do wonderful scenery cards. When she puts her mind to it Gloria is a talented artist and taught me a few tips as well. Not bad for a 86 yr old lady. Just goes to show you are never too old to craft and with patience and a good cup of coffee/tea you can create stunning achievements. It also helps when Stampin' Up! has wonderful scenery stamp sets that allow us to create with. My stupidity was not to take pictures to show you her achievements, however, she is coming to crafting at my home on Friday where I am teaching making your own scrapbook page background with ink and stamps. As well as one sheet wonders with only ink and stamps which we will cut up and use as matts for cards. Should be a fun morning with a great bunch of ladies. Hopefully Gloria will bring the creations from this morning to show the other ladies and I will take pics and post them here. Love that I am now well enough to get back into the craft room. Yeh.

Stampin' Cut & Emboss: Magnetic Cutting Plate

Have ordered mine to go with my new Cut & Emboss machine. Was cutting and embossing last night and I must say it is much easier to use than my old SU Big Shot. I have had a frozen shoulder and it still lingers and hurts when I have to make many passes with the big shot which is now NOT an issue as the new machine only requires one pass for even the most intricate die. Yes a pleasure to use.

Hi, just in case you missed earlier videos on our new machine, Connie gives us a great run down on it. It is $209 here in Australia and has 3 years warranty (limited). I have 2 big shots but this is the cream of the crop and far better than the electrical one I tried  due to my frozen shoulder. I have since sold my electrical one as it did not suit my needs and i didn't like how it cut and the need to pass dies through the machine more than once. 

Just make sure you place you dies on a slight angle to ensure u do not damage your die or place stress on your machine.

Tips To Stamp With Distinktive Stamps

Good morning folks, hope your day is starting off well and not like mine. I woke early to a coughing fit, note to self - " do not try and fight a chest infection without antibiotics in future", I have ended up with a post infection cough that is NASTY and on antibiotics and a Ventolin puffer anyway. Go figure hey.  So watching YouTubes and thought to share a good one from France Martin aka Frenchie. She is so generous with her knowledge and talent that sharing her work is easy as she gives us very informative information, tips and tricks to make our crafting experience much easier and less frustrating. We are not alone, Stampin' Up! have a many many lovely generous demonstrators like Frenchie that share with us and love us to share their videos with you. Just remember USA measurements are different to ours here in Aussie. Our cardstock is 113/4 x 81/4 so we have to adapt when necessary. Look at what I got to pre-order today, being a demonstrator we get to order a month earlier than our customers so we can use the product and be very familiar with it to answer any questions you may have on how it operates and our honest opinion on it. For you it will be available in September. I have the big shot (2 actually) but this will suit my needs better as it is less bulky and easier to travel with and knowing Stampin' Up! it will be very high standard and surpass the other cutting machines on the market. We are also launching a smaller version of this machine later this year (we hope) it was to be launched now but the dread CV 19 has interfered with production. We are also getting a magnetic plate as an accessory and in my opinion as MUST HAVE but its also held up in production due to CV19. Will let you know my opinion after I have used it for a while. Hi, I haven't been posting here for a while because my numbers have dropped and I do not seem to get responses to anything i post. This is not the same on my face book page as that is working really well with lots of interest in what I post. But I had a think and really I should continue with this just in case someone (even 1 person) doesn't do face book and I do nt want them to miss out.
So I am back.

Thanks to the wonderful Inge for sharing this great idea to assist us when using this punch. I believe it will make our crafting with this punch easier so am sharing it with you all. Do you have this punch? If so let me know if you think it is a helpful idea please.  If not you need it in your crafting arsenal, what Inge doesn't show is that you can make your labels as short or as long as you like which makes it very versatile.

 Information for my customers and potential customers:

As at the 3^rd June 2020 the Stampin’ Up! Online shopping site will be changed to better meet the needs of you the customer.

Demonstrator Management Feature

The customer now has the choice to select a specific demonstrator during the shopping process as well as the choice to have one automatically assigned to their transaction. Customers who have a demonstrator automatically selected for them during checkout will be assigned one who meets all of the following criteria:

Is closest to them in geographic proximity based on the customer’s shipping address.

· Has agreed to the Referral Policy Agreement on the demonstrator website.

OR:

Customers can manage the demonstrators they shop with in their account section under My Account > Demonstrator.
 
The five most recent demonstrators a customer has shopped with will appear under “Shop with a Previous Demonstrator.” A customer can choose to designate a preferred demonstrator that will become their default “Shopping With” when they return to the store.

Demonstrator Responsibility for Managing Customer Data

You will be responsible for managing your customer data according to their preferences.  
While you will receive limited personal information for guest checkout customers, it is important that you only use that information if it’s necessary to contact them regarding that specific transaction. It is critical that you refrain from marketing to them, or contacting them for any reason other than that transaction, unless you have their explicit consent

What does this mean for you as my customer?

I will receive an email stating that you have nominated me as your preferred demonstrator and your purchase items and email address.

This allows me to follow up on any issues you may have with your purchases for a period of one month or longer if I deem the issue something that demonstrator support may need to address.

I will send a thank you email with my blog and Facebook page web sites as well as standard information I send to all new customers. If you do not wish to interact with me this will be the last you hear from me. I do not believe in harassing my customers as I understand how annoying this can be. I fully believe our products sell themselves and you will enjoy your purchases without a demonstrator hassling you to buy more.

I would love to give you a FREE copy of current and past years catalogues if you would like one. For this I ask you either collect it from me or give me your address to deliver it to you. Of course, if you attend a class then you automatically get a copy of all catalogues current (and past if like) for FREE.
