New Video

G'day everyone,
Today I was taken out for breakfast to Harvey Range Tea Rooms and was lucky enough to taste the $50 cup of coffee that is the result of the Civet Cat eating the coffee beans and then their dropping are collected and processed to the most yummiest coffee. I didn't buy the coffee but happen to speak to a group of people doing a tourism video and a chief from USA was testing the coffee and he was kind enough to share. Smooth, strong and bitter just like I love my coffee to be.

Enough of me, I have just come across a video on making your own ribbon from card stock. How often to I want a particular colour of ribbon and don't have it in stock or that particular colour isn't available in my online store, hmm a bit. Now after this simple tip, I can make my own ribbon and so can you.

Have new cards to post but it is soo overcast and rain is POSSIBLE (whoops this is the Ville not sure if it will actually get here) so cannot take any photo's till the sun returns.

Dawn's Quick Tip~ Stampin' Trimmer Replacement Cutting Mat from Stampin'Up!

Class today

Hi all, today I had a lovely group of ladies make a (u guessed it ) Pop Up Christmas card. A few hiccups, partly due to my instructions being slightly wrong, teacher losing a important die  and then inattentive ladies who didn't LISTEN to the teacher and turn their cards 180 deg when told to. Having to much fun nattering they were, but it all worked out well with just a few minor adjustments. It was a long class and we only managed the one card as it is quite complex to make and especially for the first time. But everyone went home with their very impressive card and instruction (with correction added, turns out I don't know horizontal from vertical) after a lovely morning tea/lunch and many cups of tea and coffee. Next week we will do the 2nd card which was to be a Bon Bon Card.

Advanced classes do take time and these ladies like to cut their own cards from start to finish as like me this is the way they learn best. Classes do go quicker when I pre cut all the necessary card stock and DSP (designer series paper) but I don't mind either way. The aim of the class is to have fun and enjoy the pleasure of crafting with friends (new or old).

Well done girls and to the 2 ladies that couldn't make it, I will repeat the class for you when you are able to make it.

Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Mats and Scoring Blades Now Available

We are happy to announce that we are bringing back the replacement Stampin’ Trimmer Cutting Mats and Scoring Blades. These items will be available for you and your customers to start ordering today.

Stampin’ Trimmer Replacement Cutting Mat (item 131375); $7.00 AUD/$8.50 NZD
Stampin’ Trimmer Scoring Blades (item 126996); $9.00 AUD/$11.00 NZD

We came to this decision by taking another look at the overall strategy of the Stampin’ Trimmer and its supporting pieces, and we were able to work out issues with our supplier to be able to offer these items to you. Keep in mind that the cutting blade that comes with the Stampin’ Trimmer does not make contact with the cutting mat so it should not wear it down. Like the cutting mat, the scoring blade is made to last and will not wear out. These replacement items may be helpful for you if you lose a piece or prefer to have extras on hand.

Handheld Stapler Being Discontinued
Due to supplier issues outside of our control, the Handheld Stapler (item 139083) and coordinating Silver Mini Staples (item 135847) will be discontinued after our current inventory runs out. We apologise for any inconvenience and encourage you to let your customers know about this change.

Today's creativity

Well after a busy weekend I had to do some housework today, but i was able to spend some time in the craft room. I have continued on my obsession with the new Pop Up fold and have made a number of Christmas cards. I will not post them unless asked to in the comments as I don't want to bore people with the same style of card, I just can't get enough of it.

I have watched a U Tube video today and that will be my next card so watch this space for more creatively. Happy crafting guys.

A birthday card for a very special lady who celebrated her day with us.

Silly me wrote on the card before taking the pictures so have covered the bottom section up,
In this card I featured watermelon wonder, flirty flamingo card stock inks and markers. I also added some dazzle with our dazzling diamonds glitter which i adhered utilizing our fine tip glue pen. I am happy to say the recipient loved the card and as she has two dogs she could see the relevance of me using the lovely

Featuring Stampin' UP! Envelope Punch Board

On face book today there was a post on how to make any size boxes using the Envelope Punch Board and the lovely crafty owl in the UK has set up a way for us all to make any size box with ease. I have seen this before on my travels through You Tube video's but now I am into blogging in a big way I thought it would be good to share it with you all.

Pop Up Christmas Card no 2 featuring the Merry Mouse Stamp Set

My favourite colours were used for this version of my new pop up card for Christmas.
It is not my design however and I would like to thank Melissa from the UK for sharing this lovely design she also cased from David (unsure where he is from).
I soo love this stamp set and it is fast becoming my favourite. Unfortunately to make this card and  colour the images would take a up all of a class. Happy to teach the making of this card and how to colour using makers in a few different ways of water colouring and direct to paper with markers.

Let me know if you would like me to have a class for this card.
